Fun Survey
« on: February 20, 2018, 09:47:59 am »
Well, I attempted a Fun Survey and got my penny which was fun but I am reminded of attempting a Fun Survey sometime last year. The survey was looking for persons who had cancer. Fortunately, I did not qualify but it seemed very ironic that the survey was named Fun Survey and they were looking for persons who had cancer which sounds like zero fun except, of course, when you hear that you are in remission.

That's for sure. I'd never use cancer and fun in the same sentence.

I feel like the names of the surveys and what they actually are about very rarely match. I don't know why that is.

I've done a lot of surveys that had one name but the survey was totally different... I don't even pay attention to the names anymore and just see if I can qualify or not

Last year, I clicked on a survey having a name like pet study. I have no pets and expected to earn a penny but the survey was actually about pizza. I completed the survey and got credited.

I've learned not to pay any attention to the survey tittles.  I wish they would just give them all numbers --- try it and see if you qualify.  I would skip over surveys that seemed not to relate to me, when, just like bostonphil said, it might be for something totoall different!  I still don't do surveys very often, but when I do, I try NOT to let the titles guide me!

I also associate "fun" with "lighthearted joy."  Even with the joy of remission, I would not call the association you mentioned "lighthearted."

Ironic - Cancer + Fun = doesn't add up.
