Strange phone number

Could be a bill collector or spam callers. I have noticed the spammers call with local area codes to my cell phone too.  I always have to answer though because I never know when it might be one of my mothers doctors since they call from their cell phones a lot.

Alot of spammers are calling phones to see if they pick up. If they do, the 'live numbers' are then sold to telemarketers. In this day and age if you don't know it, don't answer.

I agree with you, don't answer; i get those also and feel if it is someone that really wants to talk to me; they can always leave a voice message, which never happens with those types of calls so I just ignore them.

I get strange calls from callers at least 7-10 times a day.  I don't answer them because If I don't know the number calling, I never answer them.  This happens everyday.

That phone number sounds very suspicious. It could be a scam call. I would just recommend avoiding it or blocking it if you can. You're wise to be wary.

If they don't leave a voicemail and they just keep calling, it's a spam/sales call.  I read that spam/sales often get numbers that have your area code in the hopes you will pick up.  I would block it now since they have never even bothered to leave a voicemail.

I only answer my phone to people with caller Id and II have to know them.

I'm going to look up auto blocker for my phone. Right now I just don't answer,  block them orlet it go to voicemail but most of the time they just hang up.

You are correct!! They do have access to local area codes to trick you into answering your phone now.
