I have eaten rattlesnake...without knowing what it was first. It was really greasy and fatty. It did not have a good flavor, but it wasn't bad either. If given the opportunity I think I would pass on it.

I had it about 20 years ago and it was BBQ'd so it was hard to say exactly what it tasted like.  It was a little fatty that I remember.
