getting to know you
« on: May 15, 2017, 07:43:42 am »
relatives can be spread across the country, living in various cities.
the younger ones go through their stages of life finding their way just as you did.
you miss that part.
when you don't see family very often, they can be like strangers.

I have quite a few relatives that I have never met in person.  They would be children of my cousins and their children.
Have a wonderful day!

That is essentially how my family is. The majority of my relatives live in the same geographical location, but we rarely see or talk to each other.

My husband and I have relatives around the country and unfortunately the cousins are ones we have lost touch with, unless they are on FB.  We make a point of visiting back and forth with siblings though.

I have an older sister who lives in New Zealand and she is married to a Pastor/Minister. I have never met her children nor her husband. The only time I met her for the first time was when my mom passed away. She came by herself without her entire family.

I live in Las vegas but I have family across the world and country.  I am originally from Lebanon and was raised in Michigan when we came to United States.  We came here 40 years ago in July.  I had 3 kids and 2 have passed away, one at age 5, drowned in backyard pool and my other daughter took her own life on May 6th of this year at age 28.  I have a 32 year old son that lives in michigan who got married  last January.  I hope to be a grandmother before I leave earth.  I hope that my last child will out last me.  I do not think I can handle another child.  I have hundreds of cousins across the globe.  My mom still alive and my dad passed away 2 years ago.  I have 7 sisters and 2 brothers who are all still around.  I have 18 nephews and neices too.

Most of my family is located in New Jersey, where I was born and raised. Last year, I moved up to Massachusetts to be with my then-boyfriend, and we are now getting married in 6 months and thinking about beginning a family. So at some point, over a few generations, I'm sure there will be more of my family up in this neck of the woods!
