Dead beat parents!!

I feel that deadbeat parents should rot in jail like the other criminals! It takes 2 people to make a child, so it should be 2 people raising the child! Many staets have implemented laws that prevent the non-custodial parent from getting too far in arrears on child support payments, but it hasn't helped much. All I can suggest is that we be more cautious about who we decide to have children with. Be prepared for the person to turn thier back on the child. Afterall one great parent is better than one great parent and one crappy parent! I would rather a deadbeat NOT be involved in my childs life.

First of all I just want to say that the father of my 10 month old son is a deadbeat dad. I am sorry to say that I got pregnant by him, and eventually left him when I was 4 months pregnant because he would not stop cheating or lieing to me. From the get-go he kept trying to say the child wasn't his, I think it was a stall tactic most men use to get out of paying child support. Needless to say, I met another man who I fell madly in love with, and we were together from my 5th month of pregnancy on. I can't imagine the imense love he must have had for me, being with me while I was pregnant with another mans child. But he stuck by my side, and was there through the labor and delivery, and even cut the cord! My son is now 10 months old, and my boyfriend is still with me. He has raised my son like it was his own, and has done a great job. My childs real father only wanted to start visiting his son after a paternity test, which has only been twice in the past 4-5 months. Granted, he does pay child support but only because the state takes it out of his paychecks from work. Otherwise he wouldn't pay a dime! He has acted so strange when he has come to visit our son. In my mind, my boyfriend is the real father here. And always will be. It doesnt take making a child, to be a father. Any guy can get a girl pregnant. A real father is there from the beginning and loves the child more than anything in the world. There is no use in this world for deadbeat fathers!!
