How do you feel about President Obama's proposed healthcare plan for all Americans? Do you hope it passes or falls flat on its face?

i honestly do not like the clause in the there that has people paying a fine if they do not want to have health insurance. I honestly cant afford health insurance and my income qualifies for medicaid but my state has a rule that if your child doesnt quailify then neither do you. My daughter is a soon to be tribal member and the tribe pays for all her medical needs so nothing comes out of our pocket either

Well, there's no 1 plan yet, so that's difficult to say.

Am I for health care reform?  Yes, but only if it's real reform, and not a gift to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

Bah politics should stay on political forums lol ... I think people have too much trouble talking about anything politically without becoming rude and getting into arguments lol!

Personally, will it work or not, I don't hold a government office, I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, and as well all know, you just cannot trust everything you hear, regardless of which side it comes from.  There's always false information, misinformed informants, hidden agendas and what not.  We're all pawns in this game, just have to hope someone in a position of power makes the right move!
I don't have no enemies, but if you test me I will retaliate.

Since there is not "formal" plan that has been laid out yet ... I cant say. As for some of the plans they are suggesting now ... I disagree! Fines & healthcare for illegals do not sound appealing to me.

Its just a scheme to get public popularity for his re-election.. It will never work in the long run.

Given that Obama's plan appears to be that written by Max Bacus, I'm a but confused how anyone, Right or Left can support it.

No public option, but an insurance mandate.

Awesome.

So I'm forced to buy private insurance and they don't even have to compete with a government run plan.

I get why the insurance industry loves this bill. Who wouldn't want a law requiring everyone buy your overpriced crap product?

I completely agree with you.  I don't feel that if people can't currently afford health insurance what makes them think that a government plan is going to be more affordable.  Anyway you go, if the government FORCES you to get health insurance I think that takes away from you freedoms.  If you can't afford the insurance in the first place what makes them think that you can afford a find.  It is just absurd.
