I was shaken up when my icons died when I was in my 20s on up. I loved so many that played gansters - George Raft, Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, James Cagney (or is he still living?), then there's the horror movie starts like Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, and then the others, Robert Stack, Rod Sterling, James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, Errol Flynn, Elvis, and more.
Personal best friends are gone, one 10 years ago, one 2 years ago, and one a year ago. I only have acquaintances now. Our paper is filled with young ones in their 20s-60s. Some suddenly, some of cancer. Rare to have them go of natural causes 9in their sleep) around my area. What really shakes me up is classmates who have died in the past couple years. That's enough or I'll get depressed. :'
