there was a trip scheduled today here in Fort Myers to look at the manatees.
they come out when the water gets cold.
it's cold down here.
they will go in search of warmer waters.

That sounds like fun. Have never seen a manatee in real life.  Are you going? Would be great if you could share some pics if you did!

We spent a week on a houseboat in Key Largo and had them come right up to the dock.

I love them.
I've never seen them in the wild.
They do have an exhibit of manatees, rescued, at Sea World down in San Diego, which I have seen & they feed them lettuce.  Very Cute.     It's sad they get run over by propellers :(    some of them have deep gashes.

Aww that's adorable! I LOVE manatees! They're beautiful and interesting creatures. I would love to see one in person.

I would love to see a manatee in the wild.  It is sad that they get injured by boat propellers.  I would like to think most boaters do their best to avoid the manatees and NOT injure them.

Interesting. I thought they were only water animals.

I love manatees. I saw some once when I was a teenager. Then I got a big, stuffed animal one.
