when you play with less than  that, the game can't be played as usual.

I agree... Sometimes having too few people playing takes some of the enjoyment out of the game. Some card games are like that: Old Maid, Go Fish, President... Also boardgames like Clue are better when there is more people playing. Any game where you are trying to guess what your opponents have requires more people to make it enjoyable. I still remember getting together a group of friends for a LAN party where we'd network our computers together in order to play some computer game as a group.

Definitely a different topic. I like playing monopoly with 4 people. Makes it more interesting.
