Captcha Tips

I have seen several general FC tips in these forums and some specific to the Captcha required at the end of the daily email and PTC.  Some of the tips are news to me, others I was already aware of when reported by other users here in the forum. 


This is another one of those tips, which I don't think I have seen listed here (but I may be late to the party and proven wrong).  I have known about it for a while and I expect many others have discovered it also, but for those who have not: when completing the capcha for the daily PTC or email, they will still give you credit for minor misspellings in the answer -- I guess when it is close enough, the computer allows for a typo. (What better way to prove that you are an actual human and not a bot, than by making a common keyboard typo?!) 


Two examples that I have recently verified: "fiive books" and "roler coaster" were both accepted when I typed them in that way.

I have noticed this, also, and thought it was quite nice in this day and age of having to have everything precisely correct before it is approved.  I have had it happen to me on RadioLoyalty, as well.  BTW, I would welcome the chance to even make a typo for RL, as right now it is not working at all for me.

Sometimes the captcha can be hard but here lately it has been easy to read. The progressive ones are easy to read

I try to be very meticulous with my captchas.  When a letter is capitalized, I use capital letters.  But this is good to know in case I happen to have a 'bad captcha day'.

Thanks for the tip! At least now I know I'm not crazy lol I've had typos before on Captcha's and they went through then I though did I really do a typo??? 
Whew! I feel better now lol

I always double check and make sure the captcha is exactly right, because they used to be a lot more strict. It is good to know that they let minor typos slide though. I know I'm not perfect, and I'm bound to have a typo in the captcha some time or other.
