Unfortunately, one person's absence is sorely noted.... President Obama was too busy playing golf on vacation to accept requests from leaders in LA to visit and lend support for the flooding victims. Bush got hammered for the poor showing with Katrina, yet Obama does absolutely no showing of support, and the media is mostly silent (gotta love the double standard). I pray for the victims and hope that they can rebuild and get their lives back together.

I really don't know anyone personally,,,  only a few people on face book that live there and I know there houses have water damage but they are all ok.  Feel really bad for all the rain down there.

According to the governor, he asked the president  and other government people to not come until later this week, they wanted all state personnel to be able to continue helping the people and not having to stop everything for security or photo ops.  He said besides the president and other government people there were several celebrities that were asked to wait until later this week or next for the same reason.

Wish they could send some of the rain to the western states.

It is a crying shame how obama ripped Bush, but has not even shown up yet. I laughed when Trump showed up with out any fan fare to  check it out and to give away items needed also a big donation to help build some . Guess it goes to show Trump is a bigger man then O.

Plennis the same thing was said to Bush, but that was different then according to obama when he ripped up bush. Even th mayor of N.O didn't want help at first.
