Yard sales and Garage sales N Rummage sales

Does anyone know what items sell good at a yard sale. garage sale or rummage sale? I had one over the weekend and it appeared that clothes, electronics and household items were selling. But in august I am going to do another one and I am not sure what would sell and what won't, Please help!

I used to make a killing on Dvd movies when I was selling. since I moved, I have not had one.

That is very hard to determine.  I have found that some things will sell great one month and the next, not so much.  I guess you should be flexible and put out what you have that you don't need and hope for the best.

For some odd reason shoes and candles always seem to go at ours. My daughter made a good buck last year with flip flops and heels.

Usually clothes, household items, toys, baby clothes and small collectable items sell the most.  Its hard to say what people are looking for.  I guess as long as it is a bargain it will sell.

In my area clothes do not sell at all

In our area, children's clothes and toys go very well. Last spring I sold 14 purses on my rummage sale.  DVDs and music CDs seem to go well too.

I really don't know if there are any particular items that "sell" better than others.  I think it depends on what a person is looking for at the time.  But, good luck in whatever you choose to sell.
