Has anyone watched that video where Nestle delivered a whole bunch of cases of water and a 5 gallon dispenser to a family for a experiment to see how much water the family consumed in a week?

Seeing stacks of cases of water bottles made me think how wasteful we as consumers are.....why not get a water filtration system to just filter your water and then pour into your own glass rather than have tons of plastic water bottles that will be recycled (at least I hope recycled, not tossed into the garbage>landfill)!

We have city water and it is awful. We buy bottled water to drink.

I would like to see more people purchase water filtration systems.  Even one like the Brita pitcher would help save plastic bottles from going into the dump.  But I also understand the convenience people have with purchasing bottled water.   I think the question should be when will our government realize the importance/necessity of clean/safe drinking water from our faucets. 

BTW, I have not seen the Nestle video.

I have not seen the video but do have a Brita Pitcher in my frig.  Does cut down on the cost of bottle water and no need to recycle.

Yes, I've seen the FORO water experiments videos.  They are quite interesting with respect to behavior and habits.  Having said that, the number of plastic bottles one family alone uses is enough to make you wonder about the plastic waste.  Many don't realize the dangers of leaving plastic bottled water in the heat for long periods of time with the possibility of toxins leaching from the plastic and contaminating the water.  I believe those plastic bottles are intended for one-time use for the same reason.

I agree .. I have a water filter by my kitchen sink that I constantly keep full and also fill my old individual water bottles to take with me when I go out.

I agree. I work a part time job and so many people would use the styro foam cup to get something to drink and they would get a second cup, third cup, fourth cup to get different drinks. And this company talks about being green.

Well, I have seen those videos many many many times......will keep watching as long as they keeping paying.  LOL
