shades on the window
« on: June 11, 2016, 11:37:34 am »
I have blinds on my windows.
I find I can cut glare by slanting them down.
The natural light comes in nicely.
The parking lot is my view.
Glare from the sun can come in the window if I don't slant the blinds.

most of my windows have blinds but my bedroom window has a blanket over it --i live across the road from a business that has night lights all around so the blanket keeps my room dark for sleeping !

I've got blinds on all my windows, sliding glass doors also.  With having all my pets it cuts down on fur getting trapped in drapes

I just purchased black out shades from Home Depot that were really reasonably priced & not only do they black out the room nicely, but they also allow privacy from the outside.   I can have the light turned on & it can't be seen from the outside at all, the outside window shows no life, so bonus :)   I put the shades on the outside of the window, the inside of the window has vertical blinds.   They cut to fit right at the home Depot,  Bali is the brand.   Best purchase I have bought in a while, life changing... lol

I need new blinds, I have the old style roll up shades that came with my house. It's time for a fresh new look! :D

I have vertical blinds in all my bedrooms but my patio doors have the built in blinds between the glass so the dogs cannot ruin them.  Living, dining and family room only have a valance on them.
