It's pretty annoying... I'm smart enough to know it's a fake alert and not to call their fake numbers, but others might not realize it. The URL redirect that always says to call a bogus number is arizonaflag.net.   :-\

I kept trying to upload a photo but it's always too large. It's the redirect with a big red screen that always says there's a virus. I'm sure others have seen this and know what I am talking about. Just go watch any video and it'll pop up half the time.

I can't say that I've seen what you have.  Do you have an anti-virus installed on your computer?  There are a lot of Trojans out there that will download to your computer without your knowledge, and suddenly, you get to see all the pop-ups of the type you're seeing now.  Run a scan with your anti-virus.  Another awesome program to have is called "Malwarebytes."  It works well to rid yourself of these types of scams.

I've had the same thing happen several times...some kind of worm or something.  It is fake.  I ran a computer scan and checked my programs.  Nothing there...just a big scam.  Why does Fusion even allow these things?  Sometimes I wonder why I am on here.

That doesn't sound unheard of to me. The Swagbucks site has had too many breakdowns over the past week or so.

It's definitely not a virus. I have multiple anti-viruses running all the time (I'm a PC nerd). It's just a pop up fake virus advertisement. They usually pop up after a "Stack" video is watched. It's after you hit continue. Luckily I realized I can just close the window after 60 seconds and not hit the continue... The problem is gone now. I didn't realize I could just close the entire thing after viewing. On Swagbucks, you can't do that, so I had been causing my own problem.

I ran all 4 of my anti-virus and spyware programs and I don't have infection. The pop-up was to try to get people to call a fake number posing as Windows to get your financial information. It's a harmless pop-up with no viruses, but the number is trying to get those who do not understand much about PCs to call them and give up information. It's those people I'm worried about, not me. :)

I got one of those this morning and it would close the window with the message still open. What I did was put my mouse on the red X to close, then with my other hand held down Ctrl and pressed W to close the message, then quickly click my mouse on the red X and it was gone.

I have had that happen a couple times. I have just rebooted my pc and everything was fine. But I do agree it is a pain. But of course it is a fake virus that hopefully no one falls for.
