referral question
« on: August 19, 2009, 02:34:58 pm »
I have seen some posts about people with a lot of referrals that have been banned. I plan on doing referring on here and was wondering if there was some kind of hidden cap they put on. I know you can only be in US to participate and I am stating that to all potential refs. I wanted to make sure of this before I went deep into the ref business
-Thanks

I dont belive there is a cap as to how many you can have.  As long as they are legit referrals following the guidelines in TOS you should get credit for all of them long as they confirm there emails.  I seem to have a tough time with them actually clicking on that darn link lol.  I have seen several videos on youtube where people show there FC referal list and im amazed at how long they are.

On this whole referral thing with regard to facebook, is it okay to post the link on your wall? It says "no bulletins or global messages" but that should just show up for your friends, right?

That question has been asked several times, and never have I seen a clear answer from an admin if its OK to put it on our facebook site or not.  From what I understood it was you were not allowed to spam it.  If its on your page and people are seeing it because they come to your page its not exactly spam imo.  I have a link for my site promoting fusion cash and a few other programs I am in on my facebook page and it has not been removed yet.  But I have read here on the forums people saying there banners were removed so I am unsure as to exactly what they allow.

I posted it on facebook and nobody seemed to care about it. You only get banned for referrals if you try to fake referrals. But they can track you through your IP address so that wouldn't work.

Don't create fake accounts, don't create fake IPs, don't send mass emails unless you know who you're contacting, don't use a bot to blast email, don't use MTurk or other pay per piece types of sites to "pay" people to sign up....

Advertising in a signature (where allowed) or on your personal page of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LiveJournal, etc, etc is fine.  FC encourages you to advertise & get the word out about their site.  The more members you have, the more attractive you become to future advertisers, the more offers we have to complete! :)
