I've been hearing less and less about the economy lately. But then again, that's probably because I've been hearing more and more about Michael Jackson. Stupid media.
Worse. I'm not an Obama basher, but I do believe he hasn't really done anything beneficial to aid our diminishing economy.
I agree with everything you said. Or at least I don't consider myself an Obama basher. I don't really agree with a lot of his policies, and ways of doing things. But I doubt that McCain would have been better, though.

I don't think the economy is going to get better until the housing market hits rock bottom and a few (or a lot) more companies go under/bankrupt.  Things need to take their natural course and then we can start to rebuild.  But, the housing market will not hit bottom until the foreclosures are done and that's going to be a while.  I think there will be some mortgage brokerages and others in some hot water because of what they did.  You can blame Bush if you want, but there is plenty of blame to go around.

I think we, as a counrty have been so hell bent on helping 3rd world countries that we have forgotten to take care of ourselves.  We are in for a whole lot more before it gets better.

I don't really pay much attention as long as I can make money online.

Obama made alot of promises.  Then he got into office and is SPENDING so many trillions of dollars.  This type of spending is not helping us out.  We are continuing to see gas price rise companies are closing and pulling out of our area.  Jobs are gone.

I read that California is starting to pay their bills via IOU's.  Pennsyvania is no longer issuing pay checks to state employees.  Just to name a few things that are going on.  The economy is not getting any better.  It needs more than the band-aid that Obama is trying to stick on it.

I understand that these things take time but I do not see how spending more and accumulating a bigger national deficit is getting us out of this mess.

Economy - if you are making $100,000 a week the Economy is great - if you are behind on your bills (because you've spent more than you make) then the Economy is terrible - if you are homeless then the Economy "what is that?"

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama didn't start this mess, put the blame where it belongs and that's at the crooked Bush door.  The economy was in a downward spiral long before he became President. Try being fair about the whole thing.  Obama can't work miracles and since he has been President he has done a lot for this country and its economy.  When will the nonsensical bashing stop.

what gets me is i have a few friends that lost there houses because of foreclosure and the banks jacked there payments up so high they could never afford them,, and now the houses they lost are still on the market and they have been reduced  to hardly anything because they cant sell them,,, it serves these greedy banks right ,, i think it is the banks fault that the economy is the way it is..

Dubya and his pals ran our economy into the ground. They hoped to use smoke and mirrors to maintain the illusion of prosperity until the end of his term, but it didn't quite work out. Things started falling apart while he was still in office, making it impossible for any rational person to blame the mess on Obama. Our situation is awful, but just think of the breadlines and riots we'd have if McCain had won that election.

What?  I don't think that anyone has blamed the bad economy on Obama.  The decline in the economy began right after Clinton got out office and our brilliant President Bush did not make matters any better.  I am in belief that there are no more leaders in the world.  Just a bunch of greedy politicians.
