It is a sad notion for sure.  Currently I have a sister that is a prescription drug addict.  Her physicians have gotten her hooked on every possible pain medication known to mankind. As she builds up a resistance to them she is prescribed another wave of wonder drugs. There is seemingly no end to what they can prescribe. She has been sleeping from eighteen to twenty hours a day, is going through a divorce as a result and has alienated her daughter by missing special shows that the daughter is in and missing her graduation. She has been found face down, unconscious, with dried blood on her face. The police do welfare checks on her occasionally. Her next trip to the hospital should get her put in an involuntary inpatient program.

I am sick of those commercials to.   The doctor has t prescribe you cannot just go ut and get them, so let the doctor tell you your options, and work with them.
