I liked universal studios and islands of adventure. I haven't been in a long time though. Disney is great but EXPENSIVE. I would also like to visit and shoot an abandoned amusement park as well. They're so eerie and beautiful.

I like the abandon park videos on the Internet.  It would be neat to go to one of those old parks one day.

I really haven't had a chance to go to a theme park due to my work schedule. Next weekend, I do plan to take my nephews to Six Flags Over Georgia.

I have never been to six flags over Georgia.  Is it a big park? What are the best rides?

I have only ever been to the one close to where I live, Kentucky Kingdom. I loved it as a child. I have always wanted to go to Disney. Hear that one is very fun.

We have several in our area, and friends and family come to visit and want to go.  We have went to Disneyland, Six Flags,  Knotts Berry Farm and several different water parks and beaches this summer and all have been fun.  We also have spent time at the Zoo, Descanso Gardens and several different museums.  It has been a fun summer.

My daughters and I are anxiously awaiting the announcement of the new 2016 ride for Cedar Point.  All rumors and indications point toward a "drop coaster" named Valravn, but until the official announcement is made, we won't be sure. They were supposed to announce the new ride with great fanfare back on August 18th in the evening when the park would have been full of guests (we planned to be there), but they cancelled that scheduled announcement after a guest was tragically killed just a few days before. The guy didn't deserve to die and I feel bad for his family, but he climbed over a fence into a restricted area to retrieve a wallet and cell phone that he lost while riding the Raptor and he got hit in the head by another group of riders. Warning signs are posted for a reason people.

So they postponed the announcement out of respect for the guy (and probably to avoid bad PR if the truth were known).  Now it is scheduled to be announced on September 9th at 9 a.m.  The park will be closed that day, so the fanfare will be diminished.  Pieces of track for the ride already started arriving on August 19th (which is likely why the initial announcement was scheduled for the 18th).

Anyone in the midwest who enjoys amusement parks and thrill rides = if you've never been there, you gotta Get to the Point !!

The amusement park here isn't the best so we didn't go at all this year. We did go to the water park (on a weekday) and it was a lot of fun - Water World.
