phone company records

I was getting too much spam with my phone company's email service. The rep gave me a special code to login. I still got spam. gmail wasn't forwarding the email,, so I decided not to use the phone company's email at all. It doesn't matter if you don't use it. all my businesses and family and friends know where to reach me.
I gave them my change of email to gmail so they would send me a receipt when I pay my bill online; they always ask for it fresh each time anyway. 
when I called the other day, they did not have my updated gmail address that I had already given them months ago.

sometimes I wonder if people talk to each other in the offices. sometimes I wonder whether they update their records in the computer. when information changes , you update the information for the customer files for everyone in the company. right?

i hardly get spam on my personal cell phone but i have seen a lot of spam on company phones. i guess it is just the way for spam to get through to business phones
