Fusion Cash is the best site to make money. And it is safe.

I wish I could afford a smartphone so I could get on some of the scanning sites. It is just not in the budget.

Since I don't pay for unlimited service on my smartphone, I would worry about it running my charges up faster than it could earn for me.

It sounds good but I think I don't have this option available. I'll look for it

nannycoe, I actually paid for my most recent phone upgrade BY USING my existing phone and the money making apps.  But I already had an older model iPhone before I found out about using the apps in the first place.  In your case, it's almost a chicken/egg kind of thing = you can't use the apps to pay for a new phone unless you have the phone to use the apps!

There are some options to spread the cost of the phone over the length of a contract, but it sounds like that is probably not an option for you either.

Lot's of people sell cheap smartphones online, but many of those are locked to a certain carrier (or even worse, stolen).

oldbuddy, I don't have an unlimited data plan, but share an limited amount with my family and we added my mother to our family plan.  Since most of the apps only allow for one account per household, my wife doesn't use her phone much for money apps. My mom uses a few of the mobile apps to scan receipts and earn cash back on some grocery purchases (kind of reverse coupons), but she is limited to those few efforts.  On the other hand, I am usually a data hog with all of my apps.  We have never gone over our data allotment, but a few times have come close!

I only have experience with the Walmart Savings Catcher. Since Walmart already usually has the lowest prices, I don't get many refunds. I think in 6 months I have accumulated like .20. So, either way I guess I am actually getting the best deal.
