Any luck with offers requiring downloads?

So far I haven't had any luck with any offer that requires you to download anything. (Bejewled 2, Billeo Toolbar, etc.)

Have these worked for anyone else?

Could be. I've always used Firefox, I'm kind of hesitant to use IE because of its security issues. Maybe I'll give Opera a try and see if it makes a difference.

Bejewled didn't work for me, but Billeo did. Haha, so weirdly inconsistent.

These are seriously hit or miss.
They often don't work, and thus I never bother with them.

The browser doesn't really matter as long as you download it with whatever is set up as your default browser.
This only matters when they send a string to a url(very uncommon). Most of the time the browser doesn't matter at all.

Personally, any time someone or something wants to download something to my machine, that's a huge red flag.  I'd rather just not take the chance.  Things are too hard to remove once they make a home on your machine or phone or pda...

All of the software I've seen so far is perfectly safe. I just have no use for the program, and know it's about a 50/50 shot it won't credit.

My concern is more what the thing may do to my registry, than worries about spyware.

I started yesterday and did Nielsen-NetRatings and it went through as soon as i finished registration .( downloaded the program and installed it.
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)
