WWII vets

My brother-in-law passed away on Thursday.  He was a WWII vet and had served 30 years in the Navy.  It is sad that we are losing so many of our WWII vets.  They will all be gone soon. They were indeed the "Greatest Generation."

My father was in WWII.  I was just 3 years old when he left and 4 years old when he got to come home.  Hope everyone has a  good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

My father was in WWII in the Navy, he died when I was young.  My stepfather was in the Air Force in WWII and he just passed away last year.  They were all heros.

My grandfather was a doctor in WWII serving in England, he died before I was born and I always wish I had a chance to know him. I have seen pictures of him and it surprises me how much we look alike! From what family members tell me, he was a very nice man. Those who served in WWII deserve so much credit and admiration, they'll live forever in our hearts and memories!

So very true, they were the greatest generation.  All of the WWII Vets in my family are gone.

The WWII vets in my town get together every morning for coffee at the grocery store deli.  There used to be about 15 of them. Now is more like 7.  My dad served in the Navy on a repair ship during WWII.
