granddaughter was being bullied by some girls age about 10 .3-4 of them teasing her about her unibrow. so she took her to have her eyebrows waxed.She liked it and looks good.Don't know if this was the right thing to do.I didn't start tweezing until 14 or so and getting rid of the mustache on my lip so annoying.Waxing is just the same as plucking but more expensive.hopsefully the bullying will stop.I never remember bullying when i was in school back in the late 60's and 70's not like today.

i no the way you wil i just pulled my 12 year old out of school now home schooling her because of bullies they were beating her up teasing her saying things like she was fat which she is not i tried to work it out with the school but they wouldn't do anything we have to pretect our kids any way we can

I read some of the comments. When our kids are young, they need encouragement and confidence building. Yes, bullies are around forever, but if you teach them to keep their heads up and know their value, those bullies have less to stand on as an adult.  Good for you~taking them out of school. Now, build them up, teach them to love and forgive, let them take the higher road when everyone else takes the low road.

Your granddaughter should of reported this to the authorities and maybe record the bullying for evidence.

I have no issues with the eyebrow thing either, I have never done anything to my eyebrows but I really have not need to, my girls on the other hand started at about age 12 and I was OK with that and with leg shaving, now No Tattos, makeup and or teenage stuff until they turned 15 and they are good with that.

Yes there are bullies everywhere and your granddaughter needs to learn how to let it slip, is not worth it, now if it is aggressive bullying then report it some authorities do something some other don't, good luck with whatever option you go with.

although the schools have a no bully policy.....it seems that some schools do not enforce it

I think the use of the word "bully" is what is out of control.  Bullying is not worse today than it has ever been.  But these days if you just disagree with someone you are called a bully.  I have been attacked online and called a bully for simply stating MY own opinion.  The person attacking me was too stupid to see THEY were the one being the bully.  I didn't attack anyone.  I simply stated my thoughts, my opinion.

We live in a great big world with lots and lots of people.  We are not all going to agree nor are we all going to get along.  People have always made fun of other people.  That is not going to change.

I personally think bullying has gotten worse over the years and will continue to get worse untill something is actually done about it.. Even small children are taking their life over being bullied which of course is not new.. but it is sad...

I was raised not to throw the first punch.. To tell as many people as i can and if nothing is still done to then put a stop to it yourself.. Yeah it may sound bad.. but if nothing is going to be done.. there is really nothing else you can do..



I think anytime of bullying, physical, or emotional should not be allowed.. I know that it is said words can't hurt.. but that is not true.. Words can hurt..
