Today was L.A.'s first day below 70; time to start thinking about black bean soup with cilantro and cotija cheese!!! Yum.

pumpkin pie, mmm.

if you could liquify fall into a beverage, it would
be warm pumpkin pie chai tea! really, if fall has
a taste, that's definitely it...   take my word and
try it!

The robins were congregating in our yard yesterday getting ready to fly south.  The leaves are turning and falling!  I canned homemade tomato soup with the last of the tomatoes and we canned applebutter from apples picked at a local orchard.

It just started getting colder in my area, and I'm loving it. My husband made peach crisp for dessert last night and it was heaven!

Just reading about all these warm foods makes my mouth water :)  I have to go dig up a good recipe for some chicken noodle soup or chili or something.

Right now anything with apple...Baked Apples, they not only taste good they make the house smell like Fall.
Homemade Taffy Apples...huge apples with all kinds of different coatings...cashews, mini-chocolate chips.
Apple Cider Donuts...apple fritters.
By November I move on to pumpkin.
