Pre employment testing

Ok folks, I've been sort of looking for a job. Seriously trying to stay away from the customer service field. But so far, nothing has come through. So I applied for a position, on call customer service rep with out local utility company. So much for stick with my guns. Here's the deal, after 2 phone calls, 1 was actually a phone screening, I get to go take a test 3 hrs long Wednesday at 7:30 am! Am I crazy for giving this a shot?
Once I recover from being up functioning and thinking at that hour, I'll let everyone know how it went.

I know customer service is not for everyone as this does require a person to have a lot of patience and interacting with clients constantly can be taxing, but maybe the job could be a stepping stone to another potentially more geared path towards your career in the future. At least you can jot in social / communicative skills in your list of skills.

Right now with how jobs are and the economy is no matter if you hate or love the job a job is  a job brings in money so you should go for it and not let it pass you by. Who knows it might turn into a good future for you.
