Striped Bark Scorpions
« on: October 07, 2014, 02:56:18 am »
I don't know why striped bark scorpions have suddenly decided they want to live here. About 3 1/2 weeks ago, I got a rude awakening making coffee one morning when I stepped on one.   :o It stung me then crawled onto my foot and did not want to get off. It was a strange feeling when it walked forward then backward. *shudders* Then last week a tiny scorpion crawled onto my toes and stung me.

How do I prevent/kill scorpions? I know sealing the house, but what else?

It sounds like you need an exterminator!!! Thankfully we don't have scorpions here in New England. I really feel for you. I thought scorpions were deadly if they stung you?? I hope someone has some good advice for you. Good Luck!!!!

Thankfully, not all scorpions are deadly. I suspect the crickets lured them in. We haven't seen one cricket in the house since the scorpions took up residence.

No scorpions in New England you say? Hmm, there might be a move in my future. :)
