I checked into this. i know it used to be on my computer, but I can't seem to find it under the programs now, so I did a search. Realplayer is now known as Realplayer Cloud and the reviews are terrible. Most stated it opens you up to all kinds of hackers, ads, and malware. So...I won't be doing anything with that program. Guess I'll just have to forget about getting videos to work. What a shame.

The same thing is said about Adobe Flash and Java.  There is a whole lot of the net you cannot see without those items.  A good anti-virus program, kept up to date is a must (and all browsers & operating systems).  I use RealPlayer for certain things and have not had any issues.  I have had warnings from my anti-virus doing the PTC but never while using RealPlayer.

I'm afraid to take the plunge with RealPlayer even with THREE anti-virus, anti-malware programs on my computer. It took me over a month to weed out one nasty virus that kept me hostage trying to get rid of it, stressed me out so bad I thought I'd never get my BP back to normal. I run two programs once a week and one program daily. So you can see my reluctance in adding a program with such bad reviews.
