Hair salon and barber shop

Do you take care of your own hair or do you treat yourself and go to the beauty shop or barber?

 I go to the beauty shop every few months for a perm, but that's about it. I wash my own hair other than that.

I go to the hairdresser every 5 weeks for a haircut, but I color my hair myself.

I usually have my sister cut it. I can't use hairdye

I have kept the same hairdresser for seven going on eight years! It's amazing that I still have the same one and am very pleased with her. Some of my neighbors have used her too.

In the past I always went to the beauty salon, but money wasn't available and so I started doing my own hair.  Hair salons today are very expensive.

I treat myself to a hairdresser once every couple months for a cut and blow dry. Otherwise, I do everything myself: washing, blow drying and coloring. It feels really good to have somebody else working on my hair, although it has gotten quite an expensive treat in recent years.

I go to the hairdresser about every 3 months for a cut and a color.  I color myself in between times.  But the cut I just can't do.    I have been going so long to her and recommended so many people that  the rate she charges me is less than most people pay for cut and blow out.

I go to the salon for haircuts and color.  My sister-in-law owns a salon and her daughter works for her.  They take very good care of me.  I wash and style my own hair in between appointments.
"Style" might not be the correct term.  I wash it and hope for the best.
