Supervising Children
« on: August 08, 2014, 12:11:11 pm »
It's that time of year when kids are out of school and some of them don't know what to do with their selves.

I'm in a public library where there are adults and children.  The adults are busy doing what they're doing and the children are running wild like they're on a playground.  When I was young I was taught that the library is where you whisper and be respectful of other people who are trying to think, read, etc.

Why are there so many parents who make no effort to supervise their children in public places?

Have you experienced this too?
Have a great day!

YES!! I took my kiddos to the library a week or two ago and for some reason a boat load of teens and preteens came in and they were using profanity! I know I look young but jeeze do they not realize they are in the presence of a mother, or better yet small kids?! No respect.  And I couldn't help but to notice NONE of them had adult supervision.  Maybe I'm too uptight, but mine aren't allowed to walk down the street unsupervised.  What do you need to walk the streets for?  Are you a hooker?  If you're going to a friend's house I will drop you off and pick you up after affirming the parents will be there.  I know I can't protect against everything but goodness at least I'm trying, some parents can't honestly say that they're placing a priority on parenting.
