When hurricane and tornado season comes isn't it a scary thing knowing that your home could be blown away? :sad1:

:) I live in Kansas. When storms and bad weather come our way, we pray that no storm damage can occur on our property. (Also community) Many times, I have stood outside in the garden and rebuked the hail in Jesus's name. Call me crazy but I can't remember the last time we were hailed out.  :)

I live in NY.We had a scare about 2 yrs ago with Hurricane Sandy. Our area was fortunate even tho we lost power for a few days.

Even strong thunderstorms are scary.Lightning is very dangerous....winds....and it rains with a vengance.

Be safe and always follow alerts!

We had a severe thunderstorm last night here in central Virginia.  The lightning was SO close.

I don't worry about our home. It's 3/4 in-ground west/facing east. Only the front is 'normal' and we live in a valley with tall cliffs front and back. Doesn't make for nice views but even when the tornado hit a mile away, we only had a little wind. In fact, sometimes we can see the wind blowing so hard on the top of the hills that trees are bent, but we have "breezes."  Most storms come west to east so we're well protected....except from snow. LOL

It always sounds scary but if we have a strong house and good common sense to be well protected and well prepared we can be always safe and blessed. Follow alerts and prayers also counts.

Our weather is unpredictable anymore. We don't get hurricanes though. We get tornados

I've is both, now, we have a basement and I feel safer than I have ever been before, but we could lose this rental house, however, it is a rental house and not mine...

I can only imagine, the thoughts that must go through someone's head at a time like that. I live in BC and have never experienced anything like it.
