I would never ever give anyone that type of information with such little to go on.

There is so much out there. I had a phone call, with the person claiming he was my grandson and was in mexico and his car broke down and needed money to get home. Yeah right I knew just exactly where my grandson was. I have soe calls on how the irs and the treasurey dept. want to give me $7000.00 free. All I had to do was give them the routing and bank account # and they would deposit it in my bank or my credit card # and they would put it in my account. Well grandma did not bite.

This is a scam no doubt! I think it this was legit they would have contacted you through the  mail.
