suddenly looking old
« on: April 15, 2014, 11:31:46 am »
I saw a man the other day that  I have known for 7 years.
He suddenly looked old that day.
You don't "suddenly" look old.
He has been getting old for years.
Sometimes, it depends on the day's perspective.

I think you feel old when you have nothing to do.  More likely than not, your friend aged over time.  How often do you see him?   :rainbow:

::) It's like one day you look in the mirror, and wonder who's that old person looking back at you. It takes a minute but then you realize it's you.

I kinda did suddenly look old. By that I mean that one day there wasn't a single grey/white hair on my head and then out of the blue I had a bunch where there weren't any just days before. And they started sprouting up quite quickly back when I was at the ripe old age of 24-25..... so of course I have even more now. I'm still too young for this! lol  :-\

Wow, that's interesting... That's never happened to me before. At least not yet.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Unfortunately thats probably going to be all of us some day. It makes you wonder if people are thinking the same about you if your thinking that about them.

With the stresses of life these days, it may not be as uncommon as some may feel to suddenly look old.  The days of gradual aging may be ending.  Many are plagued with burdens that take their toll on our looks.   :o

Thankfully, though, I'm still quite cute. LOL

There is plenty of instruction....lets start with this one...

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Yes, age does kind of creep upon you without notice.  One day you look in the mirror and all is right with the world.  But the next day you may see wrinkles, grey hair, and the body simply isn't the same.  It's called life.

I think that children are the best source to find out if you have started to look old! They tend to be attuned to that sort of thing and are definitely going to tell you just what they think when asked! :)
