why are children so angry these days

Maybe there is not enough discipline... I know hitting is probably frowned upon as a punishment, but in my opinion it's most effective. I doubt they don't know how hard you are trying just to put food on the table, and if they never know, they'll end up as angry spoiled brats.

Try social media and advertising. The content and caliber of violence allowed even in tv shows aimed for younger children has been escalating more and more every passing year. Personally as long as your kids aren't getting sent home from school for fighting each day or beating you up I'd say your only fostering a successful child. No one likes a mamma's boy.
