I heard he was fired because of his political views and jokes about them.....  I don't know if it is true or not!   ::)

It is sad to see him go. The ratings for his show were going down. He will have to reinvent himself and his show. Then he will come back! Better...much, much better!

I love Leno...I don't usually stay up that late. He did a great job and is a good guy...too bad about the Conan controversy...that part of the tonight show was not pretty or funny.

I think that the whole debacle with Leno leaving, Conan coming in, Leno leaving was ridiculous and have refused to watch the Tonight show since.  I think that NBC was wrong to let Conan go and bring Leno back in.  I think that Leno was selfish for coming back and forcing Conan out. There was no need for it.  Ratings were high enough with Conan moving in. I rarely watch television except for special events like tennis tournaments, football games and Olympics but if I were to stumble upon the Tonight show, even if it were a guest that I wanted to watch, I would change channels because of the Stance that NBC took with regard to Conan vs Leno.

I didn't mind him, but it's surprising how much he was HAAAAATED among his rivals.

I didnt watch the last show, nor have I watched him in years, so wont miss the show. Noone can ever replace Carson.

I usually watch  Craig Ferguson, or Jimmy Fallon

It's sad to see him go although, I never really got into Leno. I was (and still am) more of a Johnny Carson fan.

Johnny Carson was the prince of late night. I watched him when I could sneak a peek when I was pretty young.

He was funny for all ages. And he was really intelligent and respectful of his guests.

I liked Jay Leno before he got the Tonight show, but not after. I thought he seemed arrogant.

I didn't really give him much of a chance after that.

He had a nice run. Time for someone new, dontcha think?
