Here in Fort Myers, there is a school for young adults with handicaps that does community service (housekeeping/ cleaning).

Sounds like a good thing. Here in the Atlanta area we have one of the best schools for the deaf. Or so I'm told. I really should get a book and brush up on my sign lang. It's been so long since I've used it.

We use to have something in my area for people who were I guess mildly retarded.  They couldn't live on their own or do a regular job but it was a place where they could work.  I am not sure exactly what they done though.  Last I heard funding had been cut so I don't think they do it any longer.  They cut funding to a worth while thing like that and increase funding for welfare and food stamps for healthy people too lazy to work.  Sad huh.

Yes it a sad state of affairs when funding is cut to help those that really need it and give the moochers more just because they are too lazy too work. Wonder what they will do when the well drys up.
