Prepare for the summer
« on: January 12, 2014, 03:12:18 pm »
Has anyone started losing weight or working out in term of preparing for the summer? I will start at the end of this month. This year I will include a lot sit-ups and crunches in my workouts. I want to have a nice and sexy stomach by the summer. Take my advice; start now!!

Starting now might be just about the best advice ever! Do your best and do a little more each day....start small....work up that strength!  You can do it!!!

I would like to lose about 20 pounds.  Starting now is a good idea.  I sort of lack motivation.  Walking is the best for me for losing weight but I do not have any where to walk where it is safe.  Or anybody to walk with me.  It's not even safe to go to the park and walk.  We live in a sad world.  And things aren't getting any better.

I don't worry about my looks or shape anymore, just my health that's the only reason I work out. not for the new year but all year long.

I always gain over the holidays, but I have two different family birthdays in January, so when the last one is over the diet will start!  I have about 10 pounds to lose for summer.

I try to eat right and workout year round but I gained weight since Thanksgiving

Remember that all the core exercises in the world won't give you abs without the diet and cardio to burn the fat to go with it

Actually I have been exercising except for during the holiday because we had to put our tree in front of the treadmill but I have been averaging 10 pounds a year of loss I started at 210 and am now 170 pounds I have discovered that the older you are the harder it is to lose weight. I am retired but will reach my goal.  I want to be any where from 125 to 140 that will make me able to do more and very happy. I even started dancing in the kitchen because when I did dance I was no more than 125 pounds. I also don't drink soda but I do drink a lot of coffee and water.

Well I have shoveled out my whole driveway.  I think that is a good start.

I am thinking about starting. Gained a ton of weight over the holidays and was carrying baby weight last summer (had my daughter March 2013). Ready to be able to enjoy summer again!
