Warm/hot water, lemon juice, pure maple syrup and cayenne.  Cayenne is anti-viral.  Ginger tea is also good and it's considered anti-bacterial.

I am a singer and we have a trio.I have found either chewing cinnamon gum or letting the candy dissolve in your mouth gets results.

a hot shower, warm / hot water (soothing hot liquids basically), for me ice cream helps temporarily although those things you said except are probably some of the best solutions for quick relief, I know when I'm sick I like Tomato soup because of all he salt so perhaps hot / warm salty water? it might not taste good but the salt should sooth your throat also ramen with the juice can help as well, I also find crackers help sucking on them draining the salt down your throat.

Taking a Tablespoon of real honey works for me usually.

  I just got over having a scratchy throat...a friend told me to boil ginger root in water, then add honey to the water after it boils in to a nice brown ginger tea...MMMM

1/4 cup raw honey
2 tbs coconut oil

Have you tried a little lemon juice with some hot water and a touch of whiskey. Works every time for me. Gargling with salt water also helps. Good luck on getting rid of that throat annoyance. It is going to be a real blast with winter this week. Layer-up!

I also swear by the salt water gargle .. learned it from my mom .. works every time
