Surprisingly I have not seen any report on tv or radio to suggest that there is any break out of the FLU recently.

Then you just didn't see the report.  I saw a couple of days ago where about 5 states in the South have had quite a few deaths from the flu and they were warning about it.  Guess that is one good thing about losing my job.  I will not have to deal with the public and stupid ignorant people who stand on top of you and cough and are too stupid to cover their mouth.  Grrr.  That makes me mad.

We have had several kinds of "flu" going around our area over the holidays.  We all blame the "little bags of mostly germs" you know, the kids, for sharing it with us.  There is what appears to be the good old 2 day stomach flu, the plugged ear and sore throat quesy flu virus that last 3 or 4 weeks, and another wish I could die flu that doesn't last too long but  well, makes you wish you could just die for a few days.

My hubby has a stomach bug right now. I told him to keep it! Hope he feels better soon.

I have heard that there is a bad strain of flu going around.  I do know that a lot of people have been sick.  Some have acute bronchitis.

I haven't noticed it here in Illinois. Most people just seem to have colds or coughs

I think so!
I got sick and was sick for almost a month.
My uncle was taken to the ICU and my sickness got worse cause I was in and out of the hospital.
Then I got super sick and wasn't able to visit my uncle for two days.
It's the worst!

This is always the flu season.  It seems to get worse as we approach the holiday season!

I have been so sick for the past three days. It is the worst I have ever felt. I feel a little better today. At least I am out of bed because I have been in bed for the most part of the last two days. Miserable!!

Getting the flu is scary business.  It takes so long to get over it, and puts you completely out of commission.  I have been using an essential oil that helps keep you from getting sick.  So far so good.  I'm really afraid of taking flu shots.  My track record for having reactions to meds is not good.
