If you go to the Pampered Chef's website and do a recipe for the turkey wreath - it's simple and fantastic.  I've not met a person yet that doesn't like it for the day after thanksgiving.  It serves great with all the fixen's and you can make a little or lot.  Between that, tetrazzini and a couple of sandwiches we're all wiped out.  Course I have never cooked anything bigger than a 14lb. bird.

Hi Premar,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  If you have enough turkey leftover, turkey soup is delicious!   The Food Network's website also has some great recipes for turkey leftovers.

Here is the recipe I use for Turkey Ala King  (some may know it as Slop on a Shingle)
It is our kid's favorite.

Turkey Ala King
5 servings

2 C. cooked diced turkey ( or chicken )
1 - 3 oz. can slice mushrooms, drained

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. Chicken Broth (I use Chicken Bouillon made with Wyler's bouillon cube in boiling water)
1 c. milk

In a saucepan, melt the butter; blend in flour and salt.  Add the chicken broth and milk all at once.
Cook, stirring constantly, till sauce is thick and bubbly.
Add the chicken and mushrooms.

Heat through.

Serve over buttered toast.

*Note:  My husband enjoys slicing a boiled egg over the top of his Ala King.

Wow, all of this sound great.  Wish I had enough left over for turkey pot pie.

I just heard of this pie crust trick for turkey pot pies from a friend on Thanksgiving morning.  I wish I had enough turkey to try it out now.  I'm considering buying another bird - smaller and a few more fixen's to do a mini Thanksgiving in a couple of months so I can try out some of these awesome recipe's in this thread.

You might look up turkey casserole. That's an easy dish that reheats well.

You could always just go for a simple turkey sandwich, add some lettuce tomatoes and whatever else you like; I know that's simple but I am truly not the world's greatest cook! :)

Way too funny!  We purchased a huge turkey on the first Thanksgiving Dinner that I had with my wife...we didn't know any better.  As a prelude to the twelve days of Christmas we had the thirty days of Turkey and came up with thirty different recipes to use every piece of the Turkey. Not to sound like Bubba from Forrest Gump but we made turkey Pizza, enchiladas, salad, omelets, soup, sandwiches, tacos, chili, pasta...you name it and we probably made it!  And some of the dishes actually turned into recipes that we still use today...twenty years later! We went to my sister-in-laws house this year and do not have nearly enough leftovers to cover three days much less thirty!

I've been eating turkey sandwiches but I'm going to make turkey-ala-king in the next few days to put on the biscuits I recently bought.
