Gotta have some time for yurself. People make their lives busy. Best to cut back or cut expenses so you don't have to work 3 jobs

Yes! I spent the majority of 2012 working on health and financial goals, but I'm glad I did because I lost weight and create a couple more streams of income.  I think being productive is a good thing as long as like you said we don't let time pass us by.  There has to be a balance. I was explaining this to my daughter when she was complaining about me going out.  I can't be a mommy and entrepreneur 24/7, I have to have a social life too (within a reasonable balance).

You saw the rewards from your hard work so it was worth it, you were working so hard then so that it would be for a few years rather than hard laboring for the rest of your life.  I do this to myself around my birthday and the end/beginning of the year, I just make sure to rest and treat myself after I've achieved the things I was striving to do.

Yes, in college I had 3 part time jobs and my head was spinning.  But, my career paid off and I had good pay and benefits most of my career.  There was also a time when my 2 children were very young and I just crashed into bed each night. ???

I definitely understand having to schedule down time, it's really something else that we have to do that but doing so indicates you are aware of your need to rest, which is a good thing b/c some people burn themselves out.  If you're like me reaching your goals incites the need to work even more, which creates a pattern of overworking but I've definitely relaxed more this year and plan to relax even more in the years to come.  Balance is the key.  Good luck with everything!

I think the only people that don't fall under this category are under the age of 14.  My family and I were just discussing how time has just flown by.  The last 3 years have brought changes among me and my entire family and so much has happened that it seems we haven't even had the time to sit back and enjoy it.  We've even gone as far as scheduling down time and even on those 2 or 3 hour stretches - something comes up and and we are pulled in different directions.

I agree. Since I had my son I've been busy all the time that I cant even track the date. And sometimes I missed some meals which is very unhealthy specially if breastfeeding. By the time my baby turned 4 mons I am already back to shape. But I enjoyed every single second that I spend with my baby.

Yes, I am chronically sleep deprived and have way too much on my plate everyday. When I have 5 minutes of free time I instantly feel like I am forgetting something!  :dontknow:

Yes, in college I attended as a full-time student plus had nearly an hour commute and I worked a part-time job that was almost a full time job a lot of weeks at UPS -- 35 hours a week on average.  I very rarely followed any news or had time to socialize.  At most I watched part of the Packers game and went out once a month.

Yes when I was divorced with two small boys. I worked two jobs just to make ends meet. didn't get alimony or child support so I had to make a lot. It frustrated me when I finally could work one job because my boys had grown up and I missed many things I could have done with them. Not to mention I collapsed twice from exhaustion and missed several days from work. It caused me to have a heart condition which I have controlled so that it wouldn't ever happened to me again. So when my grandchildren were born I made sure to enjoy them as much as I could. and now I have three great grandchildren and I am enjoying them as much as I can. And I relax and enjoy my life and still get everything done but not all at once I space it out.

I agree! I was just telling how my ex that he eats out so much it's always like he's working for the fast food chains.  I understand everyone has to eat, but there are MUCH less expensive and healthier options.  If expenses are controlled it makes life a lot easier in the long run, even if you have to sacrifice now.

Sounds about right.

Work takes up about 12 hours a day, single mom. By the time I'm done with homework/kid stuff and working out, the day is over, sleep and start over. No way to live, for sure!
