Heath Ins ARG!!!
« on: January 02, 2014, 05:09:21 pm »
I'm on medicare, have a medicare advantage plan ... went to pick up my rx's today ... $110! WITH INSURANCE.  I'm on fixed income ... it's higher than last year.  I was sooooo angry!  But then I got home, calmed down ... rested, got on Fusioncash and as always, felt better about it all!

Of course, after meltdown, up it obviously the way to go!

We will have a great year on FC!  Prosperity to all!!!!

I have a medicare advantage plan also on a fixed income. I hit the doughnut hole in August 2013 so you can imagine how much my medicene is. I could not afford to get one of my medications after that. I called the company that makes the medication and after a lot of paper work and aggravation I got that medicene free for 3 months. Thank God. It seems like they could make things easier for us old sick people.

Check out www.GoodRx.com.  I have been using it to get my husband's medicine since he is on medicare and has no drug coverage.  Just one prescription that we were paying $104 a month for, we were able to get at CVS (other drug stores participate, also) for $26.14!!  I don't know how it works, but we are able to get all of his meds (and there are a lot of them!) cheap by printing off the coupons for the prescriptions on their website.
Have a wonderful day!

I understand you, My mom was a medicate, she paid nothing once she got on medicare there you go she has to pay $1.10 per medication and sometimes more depending on which medication. That's not including her monthly payment they take out due medical attention.

Great way to vent! Initial anger, acceptance of the unacceptable and then off to happier pastures.  Kind of the American way! We get angry at a new edict like health insurance, whether we want it or not (and over sixty five percent of us didn't want it), we learn to accept it even if it costs so many of us much more to go about our daily routines ($800 upfront, more out of pocket for visits/less coverage/higher monthly premiums in my case) and then come to Fusion cash! LOL!  At least our nation's leaders and poverty stricken are taken care of. Pretty soon the middle class will be joining the latter! Moving to Colorado sounds like a good idea. Legalized marijuana may help us better understand the 'Ayn Rand/Atlas Shrugged' mentality better. Have a great New Year everyone!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but is Medicare not for retired persons? Why would copay's be so expensive for those that have worked their entire lives, or at least a bulk of it? Doesn't seem right to me.
