I knew it would not last. It was just a BIG scare for everyone. Think back when they shutdown before... They didnt last long. Goverment is now NOT shutdown. According to Channel 6 news.

I think they should all go,starting at the top, allgoverment workers get their back pay, plus I think its a crime they get a subsidy on their Health Ins & I get a big price increase. Not the same country I grew up in!

As has been mentioned this is just a temporary fix to a major problem that I am not sure most of the voters of this country will understand.  The Federal government has borrowed more money than anyone living today could hope to see repaid given our current Gross Nationa Product where the Government Revenue is created by taxing the folks making the money.  All that has been accomplished is that we have moved the deadline for the Federal Debt Ceiling a little bit further down the timeline to mid January.  Do we honestly think that there will be a solution by than?  I for one so doubt it I would be willing to bet a Trillion dollars if I had it.  So get ready to go through it all again in January.

What a farce, The republicians and democrtes should have been able to sit down and get this cra#  straightened out and as for our president he needs to be impached he would not work with the house at all. It was his way or no way.  He has done nothing to help our country at all. But he is about to bring it down. I shudder to think what is is going to look like in the next few years until we can get him out. The next president will really have a lot to blame on obama then.

It`s pathetic to me that the news reports this as the fault of the Tea party in the GOP. They offered 5 different plans that the Senate and Obama refused to consider

yes but they didnt accomplish anything. we're still in debt and put alot of people out of a job for a while. that's no way to act. our government is stupid. some people need to be fired and our president impeached.
