Good for you!! No one is required to take abuse from friends or enemies!! You will feel better for having taken a stance for your won integrity and no longer having her life's burdens dumped at your door step as well!!

Do you remember the phrase they used on Sex in the City?  "Frenimies"  (friend/enemy).  Those type of people can suck the life right out of you!  Good for you.

There are a lot of nasty people in this world. Ignore or avoid them! Had lots of them in my life!

I think we all have them in one point of our lives. It only took you 15 years to break the straw. He or she will miss you and realize she had a good thing friend and messed it all up.  :D

If she is truly your friend, you need to find out what you supposedly lied about.  It may be a misunderstanding.  But if you are tired of being used, then stick to your guns.

Good for you!  You can only take being used for so long!  With friends like that, who needs any??
Have a wonderful day!

:sad1: It is so sad when things like you described happen.  Maybe when you guys cool off you can try to repair your friendship.  Fifteen years is a long time to let it go down.  But people change and if the other person is putting in as much effort and just being a taker well, its sad but sometimes we have to move on in life.

fifteen years is a long time it seems as if maybe you have moved on and that you two maybe just don't have that much in common anymore I think I would try to find out what she meant and if she really felt that way or just said it out of anger.  if she complains all the time that's a major downer you probably don't need that kind of friendship  I try to keep only positive people in my life nowadays and in my part of the country that's really hard to do misery loves company but I don't like misery

Wow, that is a shame. 15 years is a long time for a friendship to just end over something that may be considered petty. But only you can make that call, hopefully you won't regret it later on. I lost my childhood best friend several years ago, she passed away. We had lots of good times and we were always able to be honest with each other, even if we didn't like what the other said or thought. True friends are hard to find and once they are gone, all we have left are memories of them. I miss her everyday and I will admit, I still talk to her from time to time, it makes me feel better, hoping that she can hear me.
