Be Thankful for Slovenly workers!

I used to get angry at people who milked the system.  For example: I had/have one co-worker that takes a thirty five minute smoke break in the morning, an hour lunch break(only punches out for thirty minutes), another thirty minute smoke break in the afternoon and at least two ten-fifteen minute chat breaks throughout the day. Two hours, minimum, wasted and barely making quotas. This person interrupts everyone with questions about how to do her job that would be easy to answer if she were there the extra two hours per day. Thirty days ago I asked her to stop asking me redundant questions and now she doesn't even talk to me. Fifteen days ago I received my review and told that I completed more work with better quality than anyone else in the department.  Thanks to the few slackers in my department that make me look like a rockstar!

I know what you mean.  When I formerly worked as a Clerk at the Administrative Offices, my co-worker would slack like that.  I had three or four reports to do, and would do mine as soon as I got the disbursement reports from the computer.  My co-worker said I was trying to make her look bad, and it was not hard to do because she was busy running off at the mouth about other things.  I was glad when they got rid of her because she talked too much.
