I'm in Utah and in less than 5 hours I can travel to Mesquite, Las Vegas or Salt Lake City.  I guess it depends on how you define "vacation" when we all have different things we enjoy doing.  I can also drive through Zion National Park on a Sunday afternoon.

I'm not a big gambler and I kinda like short trips where I can enjoy my own bathtub and bed every night.
Have a great day!

I can get to most beaches in North Carolina from where I live.  I can also get to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in about 4 to 5 hours.

Have been to Gatlinburg twice in the past 5 years and that is a great place to Vacation, don't know if that is under 5 hours from you or not, it is in the north eastern part of Tenn almost on the north Carolina border.

I live square in the middle of (miles) as the distance of exercise centers and walmart.  Shopping as vacation spots  lol
my city has 1 museum that changes this items.  it is full of our past.  Drive fourty-miles north, we have the waterslides, more museums, and lovely restaurants.  I feel the best is the lazy river at the water park, it is a bit expensive although.  :bs:

My daughter lives in Michigan and will travel through Canada to get to New York to see me. It takes them about 5 and half hours to get here. That would depend upon how far from the border you live. Getting to New York State that way is faster and easier.

Too bad that takes a passport now.
