Doctors used to make house calls too but not in my lifetime. At least not that I'm aware of. I read that in the 1800's the doctor would treat you at your house and stay until they cured you or you died.

It's according to how old you are. 
Our family doctor was still making house calls when I was in my 20s.

omg that's so true I have to look up what's wrong online because the doctors seem to give you the least amount of information they possibly can. I had an ultrasound tech at the hospital ask me if I knew I had fibroid (I know T.M.I) and when I asked a dr. about it they told me not to worry about it I had to look it up when I got home just to know what it was.
