Supplements for sugar cravings

What are some supplements you have taken to stop sugar cravings. That is one of my main problems. I crave sweets and carbs.

A lot of supplements like sorbitol in sugar free gum are very bad to have much of. I would recommend slowly cutting down on sweets because you will find after eating a while all healthy you won't like sweets as much as you do green pepper (just and example) after all, that is what us humans were designed to eat!

I have found imitation honey works well and it's cheap! It about half of the regular honey, it has far less sugar in it, and works well in most recipes that call for honey. I make herbal ice-tea and sweeten it with imitation honey. I also use Coke Zero. It has no caffeine, no sugar, and I love the taste.

All the best...
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

Usually when people start incorporating more protein and healthy fats in their diet, their sugar cravings lessen.

Also when you just stop consuming it you'll eventually lose the taste for it. I know people that eat very clean diets that even when they do splurge on junk food it just doesn't taste good to them anymore

I have heard that Chromium will help with that.

great post. I am working on that myself. I am getting myself off of the sugar rite now becasue I continually feel the short burst of energy and the crash. The crash is bad for me, because I wake up the next day from a hangover. I feel slow and sluggish and don't want to do anything.

Lately Ive been getting back into shape. Ive been doing the exercise again and it seem to be working. When I think about how hard i'd worked that day to make progress. I just don't want my work to be in vain this time. I'm taking green protein, b vitamins, fruits and vegetable s and making sure i drink lots of water daily.

I am also a sweets addict and am trying to give it up again. I did so a while ago and felt great but unfortunately I slowly let it back into my diet. Big Mistake!! Now i have to get off of it again. I can use all the advice I can get. It's ben harder this time than it was before.

I have been type II diabetic for 13 years, so I watch my carbs closely. I can tell you though, when I splurge on a cookie like at my granddaughters graduation party last night it still tasted GREAT! Maybe because my wife makes exceptionally good cookies.
