Which is more effective, the eye surgery or the prescription eye glasses. I need to correct my vision. I don't know which method to use.
Hello  While I've been wearing glasses since I was twelve years old and sometimes get tired of them. :BangHead: I still say glasses are safer and a wiser choice. :angel11: Many people try to avoid glasses because glasses are believed to be uncool. :bs: Remember those special words four eyes, geek. :bs: Today they have many different stylish glasses to choose from. :D You won’t look like a geek and feel unattractive. You can still look fabulous and live your life that’s what counts. :D :notworthy:

You hit the nail on the head!
GREAT POST!  :angel11:  8)

Well, from what I've heard, the eye surgery doesn't actually correct your vision, it just makes it far sighted.  So you will still need to wear glasses for things like reading and possibly working on the computer and such.  If you don't do many near sighted things, than the surgery is probably a good choice for you.  However, if most of your daily life revolves around things that are close to you, then you may just want to go for glasses cause you will need them with or without the surgery.

I could be wrong, they may have improved beyond just forcing your eyes to be one way, but this is how I always heard it was so you need to think about your life and what you normally do before jumping at the surgery.

Prescription glasses are better than eye surgery. I prefer the glasses.

I prefer prescription glasses.  I’m not sure if laser surgery will last well with no side effects when one hits old age. :dontknow:

Several people I work with have had the surgery, I her vision is worse now than before she had it.  One is wearing glasses again part of the time. So I will just stick with my glasses I have been wearing since I was 5.

I don't trust laser eye surgery personally - and I'm not a fan of going under the knife needlessly, so I go with glasses.

I prefer prescription glasses. I am afraid of the side affect from laser eye surgery, no proof if eyes will get damaged after years from surgery.

Definitely different for everyone. I never needed glasses until I was in my mid 20's. Prescription for distance got stronger and I started wearing contacts in my 40's and then started wearing only in one eye so I could still see close up with the other and not have to wear glasses for reading while I had contacts in. Ultimately had problems with contacts causing ulcers on my eye even though I would take out every night. But now my distance vision is improving but close up is getting a bit worse. So I am glad I never did the lasik surgery. Also I had heard for some it can cause a halo from lights when driving at night. Lastly I would say if you want to do it to really do your homework on who is going to do it and don't just go for the best price.

i have been wearing glasses for years now and it's pretty thick.
it's such a pain at beaches or things like that. i have contacts too, but i get lazy with cleaning them
and replacing them.

i would love to have laser eye surgery once i accumulate enough money.

It depends on how much money you plan to spend. I am pretty sure that prescription glasses are less expensive than laser eye surgery, but I am not sure. Some people don't like wearing glasses because they bother the bridges of their nose!!
