This weather has made me sick again.

Ever since the tornado hit  in Oklahoma, it seems all the germs have come our way up the east coast. I have been eating well, eating breakfast everyday and taking my multivitamins everyday too. And out of the blue, I got sick. Thank you weather!! I had no intention of getting sick this time of season. I had a horrible memorial day weekend. I started out with a sore throat and then it turned out to be a cold. I also lost my voice too. Good thing I had NyQuil and Dayquil.  I am feeling much better after much needed rest. My voice is still not 100%, but I feel better.

Thank You!! I am feeling a lot better after much needed rest. It seems the older you are, the more you get sick. I hope you avoid catching this virus that is going around. Good Luck!!!

I think the rapid temperature changes are part of it - last week we had the heat on at home one day (temperatures in the high 50's low 60's) and then the next day it hit 90 and we had to put the AC on!

This spring weather is giving me allergies for sure.

It is an accepted fact that major weather events like hurricanes and tornados do contribute to certain ailments. The uprooting of trees and soil seem to free up all manner of spores and other 'critters' and disperse them over wide areas. Those that have no regular problems with allergies can become exposed to elements that their systems just are not used to and cause them illnesses. Those that are already subject to airborne allergens just have it all the more.

I hope you get well soon.  I usually start getting sick when the weather changes too quickly--like whenever the climate goes from being 80 degrees to 50 in 1 day, or something like that.

I woke up 2 days ago with my throat feeling raw and barely able to talk. It hurt to swallow.
I've been drinking tea made with  fresh garlic, ginger root, and honey. It sounds gross, but it works. My voice is back, and my throat is better.
